PHYSICAL THERAPY
INDIVIDUALIZED EXERCISE PROGRAMMING
After performing an initial evaluation, exercises that are specific to your body will be given to you. These will be performed in the clinic, under the watchful eye of our practitioners, and at home. These exercises range from foundational stability exercises to higher level strength training or Pilates exercises. While exercise selection is important, it is the execution of the exercise which can make the difference in your injury, so each exercise is carefully monitored and you are given specific individual cues for your body.

Manual Therapy (Hands-On Care)
Our practitioners have extensive training in manual therapy and use it consistently in the treatment plans. Your provider will discuss with you which form of manual therapy will provide the most benefit for your current condition.
We specialize in
- Joint mobilizations
- IASTM – Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (similar to Graston Technique)
- Muscle Energy Techniques
- Myofascial Release (MFR)
- Trigger Point Release
- Kinesiotaping/Taping
- Myofascial Decompression Therapy/Cupping

Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates is an innovative approach to rehabilitation. The emphasis is on full body work to increase dynamic strength and active flexibility. Clients often see an increase in mobility, core strength, posture, and body awareness after utilizing Clinical Pilates.
At Physio Performance, you will be able to use the V2 Max Plus STOTT Pilates Reformer, a premier piece of equipment for Pilates-based rehab, sport-specific, or cross-training movement. This Reformer also converts to a Cadillac and has numerous additional features making it a state-of-the-art piece of equipment for rehabilitation.

Recovery Plan
Participation in your recovery plan is integral to moving, feeling, and performing better. The collaborative efforts between the time spent at Physio and the time spent performing your recovery plan outside of PT are the keys to your success.
You will be sent home with a “Recovery Plan”. This plan will detail out the care to provide for your body. This may include information on modality applications (heat/ice, etc), posture, movement cues, mobility and strength exercises, and additional healthcare practitioner recommendations (massage, chiropractic, naturopath, etc).
Videos, photos, or exercise sheets of your individualized program will be given to you. Most exercises will be videotaped (typically taken of you, on YOUR phone) to allow you to see the exercise and see/hear the corrections and modifications that are needed for your body.

I first started seeing Becky after having fairly extensive surgery to repair a broken shoulder. Once out of the sling I had almost no mobility. Now, not only do I have nearly full range of motion, but the shoulder is stronger and more stable than before.

Before meeting Becky, I was ready to slide into an uncomfortable and overweight middle-aged existence. My low-back hurt all the time and my sciatica would put me down regularly. Becky taught me how my low back and body worked. Now I am gardening and working on my feet all day is a breeze. I also workout several times a week. As a bonus, I lost about 30 lbs over the last year. I owe her my renewed wellbeing.
